cmd + c - Select a portion of text or a picture and press these two keys together to copy the selected item.

 

cmd + x - Select a portion of text or a picture and press these two keys together to cut the selected item.

 

cmd + v - These two keys together will paste any cut or copied text to your desired location.

 

cmd + a – All items on the page you are currently using will become selected.

 

cmd + b – Select a portion of text and press these two keys together to make the text appear in bold lettering, you can also press the keys before you start typing to type in bold letters.

 

cmd + i – Select a portion of text and press these two keys together to make the text appear in italic, you can also press the keys before you start typing to type in italics.

 

cmd + m - These two keys will Minimise the open file or program to your Dock.

 

cmd + n - Opens a new file or page depending on which program is open e.g. if you have Word open a blank document will open.

 

cmd + o – If you have selected a file this will open it, if not it will you’re your Finder so you can choose a file.

 

cmd + p – Pressing these two keys together will print the document or file open on the screen.

 

cmd + s – Saves the work program or file you are currently working on.

 

cmd + q - Be careful with these two buttons as this will quit the open App

 

cmd + z – Undoes the last action you took on the open program.
